MARITIME FREIGHT
⦁ Basic/maritime freight:
It is the cost for shipping from one port to another. This rate considers the terms of shipment which determine the final cost of the basic/sea freight.
⦁ Liner Terms:
In terms of line or dock it means that the loading, stowage, unloading and unloading operations are listed within the freight (maneuvers). They are excluded the cost of operations prior to the load hook and thereafter in the download.
⦁ Hiring F.I. (Free In):
It implies that expenditure on charging (maneuvers) are not included in the freight and borne by the goods.
The expenses for loading and unloading (1 maneuver) are included.
⦁ Recruitment F.I.O.S.T. (Free In and Out and Stowed and Trimmed):
Ditto to the above, but excludes expenditure of paleo grain on behalf of the carrier, being in charge of the goods. (load bulk)
⦁ Recruitment F.I.O.S. (Free In and Out and Stowed):
The quoted freight does not include the costs of cargo operations, download and stowage (no operation).
⦁ Hiring F.I.L.O. (Free In Liner Out):
Freight costs are for account of the goods and the expenses of discharge on behalf of the shipowner or the carrier.
⦁ Recruitment L.I.F.O (Liner In, Free Out):
Freight costs are discharge on account of the merchandise costs and expense of the shipowner or the carrier.
TERMS AND NOMENCLATURE FOR THE CONDITIONS IN THE TRANSPORT
CONTAINER
⦁ Intermodal service:
It is the service of transport that occurs between two points using two or more different means of transport, in accordance with the requirements made by the Contracting Party of the charge.
⦁ Service door – door (Door to door):
The shipping company within the value of the contracted freight is responsible for transporting cargo from the warehouse defined by the shipper to the port of embarkation, or from the port of unloading to the winery that is defined by the consignee. Additionally, the carrier is responsible for coordinating the movement of the container empty at the port of origin, as also the movement of the container empty destination. All related costs are borne by the carrier.
⦁ Service port – port (Port):
The shipping line is responsible for transporting cargo from the port of loading to the port of discharge. The user is responsible to its cost, to transport cargo from the hold of the user in origin, to the port of embarkation, or from the port of discharge to the cellar of the destination user.
In addition, the user is also responsible to the cost of the movement of the empty container from the tank to the winery in origin, or of the movement from the winery to the deposit at destination.
⦁ Container Yard (CY):
An expression that refers to the area designated by the carrier to perform reception, delivery, storage and repairs under empty containers.
CONDITIONS OF FILLING AND EMPTYING OF CONTAINERS:
⦁ Condition Full Container Load (FCL):
Charges are loaded, stowed and counted in the container, by account and responsibility of the user.
⦁ Condition Less Container Load (LCL):
Charges are loaded, stowed and counted in the container, the shipping line liability and expense. The procedure previously described, is carried out in the place designated by the shipping company.
⦁ Combinations:
The following combinations depending on whether the condition of filling or draining was duly agreed with the shipment or the consignee can be made according to what is mentioned in 3.1 and 3.2.
⦁ Freight all-in:
Freight, which includes the operations of embarkation / unloading, loading / unloading, drive up to the terminal's storage or warehouse.

OTHER COMMON TERMS IN PORT OPERATIONS
⦁ Abarloamiento / dock:
Operation of mooring a vessel to another which is moored to a dock or anchored in the aquatic area of operations of the Terminal.
⦁ Port activity:
Construction, conservation, development, use, exploitation, exploitation, operation, administration of ports, terminals and port facilities in general, including the activities necessary for the access to them, in the maritime areas, River and Lake.
⦁ Port administrator:
Legal person incorporated or domiciled in the country, which manages a port or port terminal. The port administrator can be public or private.
⦁ Customs clearance:
Activity that is to recognize the goods, verify their nature and value, set its weight, count or measure, classify it in the tariff nomenclature and determine the charges will be applicable.
⦁ Customs Broker:
Natural or legal person authorized by the Secretariat of tax administration, officially representing the consignees or owners of the cargo.
⦁ Storage:
It is the service that lends itself to the burden that remains in the places of deposit as determined by the company.
⦁ Tax-free:
Local open or closed for temporal goods placement as prompted his office.
⦁ Sea area:
Aquatic space understood between the piers of terminals with the artificial breakwater and direct docking facilities, or between these springs and the demarcation line set by beacons or other signalling point or the space required for the mooring and unbinding to buoys.
